Data Deletion
Last updated: September 14, 2026
Who this page is for
Briefico CRM (crm.briefico.com) is a tool businesses use to manage their customers and answer WhatsApp and Telegram messages. This page explains how to have your data deleted from it. It is for two groups of people:
- People who use Briefico CRM, as a member of an organization (the shared space a team works in). Read on from How to request deletion.
- People who messaged a business that uses Briefico CRM on WhatsApp or Telegram. Go to If you messaged a business that uses Briefico.
Briefico is the registered trade name of מולוצ'ניקוב גוזל, a sole trader (exempt dealer, עוסק פטור) registered with the Israel Tax Authority and based in Yokneam Illit, Israel. You can reach us at guzel@briefico.com. The full details of what data the CRM holds and why are in the Briefico CRM Privacy Policy.
How to request deletion
There is no delete button for accounts or organizations in the app. We delete them for you when you ask by email. Send your request from the email address you use to sign in to Briefico CRM.
- the email address of your Briefico CRM account;
- the name of your organization (or organizations);
- what to delete: your user account (your login), a whole organization with everything in it, or particular records in an organization, such as one contact with their conversations and files, or the login created for an invitation that was never accepted. Only an admin of an organization can ask us to delete the organization or records in it.
- whether you also want your sign-in records removed from our authentication provider's log (see What remains after deletion).
If you are the only admin of an organization, give another member the admin role before you ask us to delete your user account, or ask us to delete the whole organization as well.
Before we delete anything, we may need to confirm that the request comes from the owner of the account. If it does not arrive from the account's email address, or we are unsure, we will ask you to reply from that address. For an organization, we also check that you are one of its admins.
Want a copy first? Any member can download a conversation as an archive with the Export button above the chat on a lead or contact. Deletion cannot be undone.
Want something corrected rather than deleted? Members can edit an organization's contacts and records in the app. For anything else, including your account details, email the same address and tell us what to change.
What we delete
- The organization and everything in it: contacts, companies, leads and boards, tasks, notes, internal team messages, conversations and messages, activity history, automations, upload links, shared file links, and connected channels with their stored Telegram bot tokens and WhatsApp access tokens. If the organization connected WhatsApp through its own Meta app, we also remove that app's App Secret and verify token from our server configuration.
- All files stored for the organization, including message attachments, files uploaded through upload links, and files sent as shared file links with their preview images.
- Every membership in the organization.
- The logins of its members, and of people invited to it who never joined, if they belong to no other organization, with their password-reset records.
- Your login: your email address, password and Google sign-in, if you used it.
- Your memberships in every organization.
- Your push notification subscriptions.
- Your password-reset records.
What you wrote or uploaded inside an organization stays with that organization, because it belongs to that business. Your name or email address also stays where the organization's activity history recorded it (for example, when a lead was assigned to you), and in any conversation archive you exported, which names the member who exported it. See Leaving an organization.
When
If you use Briefico CRM, we complete the deletion of a user account, an organization or records in it within 30 days of your request, and email you when it is done. If we need to confirm the request first, we ask by replying to your email.
If you messaged a business that uses Briefico, we pass your request to that business and tell you when we have. If the business does not act within 30 days of that, we handle it ourselves (see If you messaged a business that uses Briefico).
What remains after deletion
- Messages already delivered. Messages sent through WhatsApp or Telegram are also held by those services and on the devices of the people who received them. We cannot delete those copies. WhatsApp and Telegram handle them under their own policies: WhatsApp Privacy Policy, Telegram Privacy Policy.
- Copies people downloaded. Conversation archives are not kept on our servers, but a member who exported one keeps the file on their own device. Anyone who opened a shared file link may have saved the file, and WhatsApp or Telegram may keep the preview card they made for the link (the file name and a preview image).
- Server request logs are used only for security and troubleshooting. They have no fixed expiry: they are deleted when the server container that wrote them is replaced, which normally happens each time we release a new version of the CRM.
- Sign-in records. Our authentication provider, Supabase, keeps a log of sign-ins that includes the email address and an IP address. For sign-ins that go through our server, that is our server's IP address, not yours. These entries are not removed automatically when an account is deleted. If your deletion request asks for them to be removed too, we remove them. Supabase's own short-term platform logs, which we cannot edit, expire on Supabase's schedule.
- Email records. Our email provider, Resend, keeps its own record of the emails we sent, such as invitations and password-reset emails, including the recipient's address and the subject line, for the period its own retention rules set.
- Backups. Any backup copies kept by our database provider, Supabase, remain until they expire.
- Legal obligations. Anything the law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires.
If you messaged a business that uses Briefico
When you write to a business on WhatsApp or Telegram and that business uses Briefico CRM, the business keeps your details and your conversation in its Briefico organization. This can include your name (for example, your WhatsApp profile name), your WhatsApp number or other phone numbers, your Telegram user ID and @username, your messages and reactions, files you sent or uploaded through a link the business gave you, and files the business sent you as a link. It can also include records the CRM and the business create about you: the lead (a sales record) the CRM opens when you write, activity history that keeps the first 120 characters of the message that opened each lead, and notes, tasks and internal team messages the business writes about you. If you wrote in a Telegram group that includes the business's bot, the business may also hold what you wrote there.
That business decides what happens to your data. Briefico stores and processes it on the business's behalf. So:
- Ask the business first. It can act on your request directly.
- If you cannot reach it, or would rather write to us, email guzel@briefico.com with the subject "Briefico CRM data deletion request". Include the name of the business, if you know it, and the phone number or Telegram @username you wrote from. We will pass your request on to that business, tell you when we have, and help it carry the request out. We may ask you to confirm that the number or username is yours.
- If the business does not act on the request within 30 days of our passing it on, or no longer uses Briefico, we handle the request ourselves as the law requires and tell the business.
The same steps apply if you want your details corrected rather than deleted.
Inside the app, deleting a contact hides it rather than erasing it, and the contact comes back if that person writes again. Conversations, messages and activity history cannot be deleted in the app at all. Complete erasure is therefore done by us, at the business's request or as described in step 3.
Leaving an organization
- Any member can leave an organization in Settings → Members: use the leave icon at the end of your own row (it shows "Leave organization" when you point at it). An admin can also remove a member there.
- Leaving, or being removed, deletes only your membership. It ends your access to that organization and stops its notifications straight away. An app window that is already open can keep receiving the organization's live updates, which may include the start of new messages, until the sign-in session that opened it expires, normally within 1 hour.
- Messages, notes and files you added stay in the organization, because they belong to that business.
- Your login is not deleted, and you keep access to any other organizations you belong to. To delete your login, email us as described in How to request deletion.
- The last admin of an organization cannot leave or be removed. Give another member the admin role first, or ask us to delete the whole organization.
